After School Clubs

At Sandfield Close Primary, we are proud to offer a range of enriching after school clubs designed to support our pupils' development beyond the classroom. These clubs are delivered by experienced external providers and give children the opportunity to explore new interests, build confidence, and develop important life skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The activities promote teamwork, discipline, creativity, and physical well-being, while helping children discover new talents and form lasting friendships.

Participation in our after school clubs encourages a love for learning and contributes to a well-rounded and enjoyable school experience.

🥋Monday After School Judo Club (3:05pm – 4:05pm)

We’re excited to offer Judo every Monday as part of our after-school club programme at Sandfield Close Primary School, delivered by Team Red Star – Olympic Judo.

This fun, safe, and structured club teaches children key Judo skills like how to throw, fall safely, and hold an opponent—all while developing strength, coordination, self-confidence, and discipline. Judo is a non-striking Olympic sport that encourages physical, mental, and emotional growth.

🎭 Tuesday After School Drama Club (3:05pm – 4:05pm)

We’re excited to offer Drama Club every Tuesday as part of our after-school programme at Sandfield Close Primary School, delivered by Priya Vaghela at Drama Kids.

This fun and creative club gives children the chance to explore drama through role play, storytelling, voice work, movement, and improvisation. It’s a fantastic way for pupils to build confidence, develop communication skills, and express themselves in a supportive environment.

We’re excited to offer Discovery Club every week as part of our after-school programme at Sandfield Close Primary School, delivered by Super Star Sport.

This engaging and educational club is designed to spark curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning experiences. Each session encourages children to explore science, technology, nature, and problem-solving through fun experiments, interactive challenges, and exciting discoveries. Discovery Club helps develop critical thinking, teamwork, and a love of learning beyond the classroom.

We’re excited to offer Cheerleading Club every Thursday as part of our after-school programme at Sandfield Close Primary School, delivered by Amy Owen from School of Cheer.

This high-energy club introduces children to cheerleading skills including basic stunts, jumps, tumbling, and routines. It’s a fun and engaging way to promote teamwork, coordination, confidence, and fitness!

Friday After School Football Club (3:05pm – 4:05pm)

We’re thrilled to offer Football Club every Friday after school, delivered by a qualified coach from Leicester City Football Club.

This exciting club supports our commitment to promoting sport and healthy lifestyles. Children will build core football skills such as passing, dribbling, teamwork, and coordination, all in a safe and fun outdoor environment.

What Your Child Will Need:

  • Outdoor PE kit suitable for the weather
  • Trainers and football boots
  • Shin pads

Important Info:

  • Sessions take place outside
  • Children will be dismissed from the main front entrance
  • Behaviour must follow our school’s Golden Rules – repeated poor behaviour may result in removal from the club

How to Book:
We will send out booking information via Parentmail when a place becomes available.
Places will be limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
