Welcome to Year 3 – Appleton

Year 3 marks the end of Key Stage 1 and the start of Key Stage 2 for the children. The children are no longer infants and instead are now juniors!  

In Year 3, the children will engage in a broad and balanced curriculum. They will start to develop their knowledge of history, geography, science and other subjects only covered in Key Stage 2 like learning a new language. 

There will be greater emphasis on understanding and learning more formal methods in areas such as maths, learning spelling rules and so forth.
