Values at the heart of Sandfield Close Primary School
We believe in the following values at Sandfield Close Primary School which thread through everything we do and can be seen in all around the school, in classrooms, on the playground and when we act as school ambassadors.
Underpinning all of these values is respect, r-e-s-p-e-c-t.
We work hard
We are kind and helpful
We listen to all
We look after property
We are honest
Caring & Gentleness
We are gentle
We respect everyone and everything by showing these values.
The values above form our golden rules in school which we also use in our behaviour policy. Children are praised for following the golden rules as they know that these values help us all to learn.
These values can be found in all classrooms through school. Children are rewarded with golden time at the end of the week as a reward for using these values.
These values also work in tandem with the British values that run through the school (see Geography curriculum area for further details). We actively promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs in order to ensure that children understand the importance of respect and leave primary school fully prepared for life in modern Britain.
