Year 1 Fire Safety Visitor

Year 1 learning about Fire Safety with Leicestershire Fire Safety.

On Wednesday 27th March, Year 1 had a visit from Leicestershire Fire Safety. They told us some very important information and we had lots of fun learning what to do in the event of a fire. We had a brave volunteer and she was super at modelling 'stop, drop and roll!'. We then spoke about how to get out of a fire safely - another volunteer did a fantastic job of showing us how to crawl out whilst shouting. All of the children have been asked to go home and check their fire alarms which is important information to know. The children were reassured that they will probably never have to use this but having alarms checked was a good safety precaution. We all had a great morning!
