Young palaeontologists in Reception!

Hands on learning - digging around and learning lots in Reception!

Monday the 8th of April, Caterpillar class from EYFS got the chance to be real palaeontologists! Various 'fossils'  were hidden and the children got to dig them up to study. We used special tools to dig away the soil and were very careful not to rush. We found lots of fantastic fossils, and even a few dinosaur skeletons! It was a lot of fun and we also learned lots about how fossils were made and what kinds of dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. Have a look at our young palaeontologists in action in our great outdoors.
