Welcome to Google Classroom
Welcome to Google Classroom, our new virtual classroom.
Just before the Easter holiday, we made a decision to set up Google Classroom for us all to use. With the help of our IT technicians, we were ready to start after the Easter Holiday. Parents were invited to join on Monday 20th April. Mrs Sutton sent out parentmails to parents and carers on Monday 20th April inviting parents to join and attached a step-by-step guide made to support parents with joining.
Google Classroom enables teachers at Sandfield Close to teach children in their classes remotely and communicate with them daily.
We are immensely proud of all our staff for all their hard work and creativity whilst teaching children virtually. We are also proud of our children and how they have quickly taken to using Google Classroom very well and completing assignments set by their teachers. We are also proud of our parents for their continued support during the school closure and for joining Google Classroom. We have had positive feedback so far which is always good to hear.
One child wrote: "Hello, thank you for your efforts in helping all of us continue our learning, we are very fortunate to be a part of this school. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible."
A parent wrote: "I would like to thank you and the school for continuing to provide different learning resources at this time. "
We are all excited about using Google Classroom and our teachers look forward to communicating with their classes in their new virtual classrooms.
Should parents have any difficulties joining, please contact Mrs Chowdhury by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org who will endeavour to get back to you as soon as she can, given the circumstances we are in. Please follow the step-by-step guide to joining.
Stay safe and well.
