Pointillism in Year 5
5NK have been working creatively and using pointillism to create a wonderful picture.
The children were able to think about what image they wanted to draw and sketch it on some white paper. Once this was done, they used a technique called pointillism to paint their picture. Pointillism is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of colour are applied in patterns to form an image. Georges Seurat and Paul Signac developed the technique in 1886.
The children used cotton buds, paintbrushes and even fingers to create some great pieces of art.
5NK would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Keep safe all and enjoy the well deserved break!
