Nebula painting that is out of this world!
Cosmic Calendars in Year 6
Year 6 children enjoyed experimenting with watercolour paints to create these magical nebula paintings which we used as the backdrop for our calendars. Nebulae are a cloud of dust and gas in space which are formed from the explosion of a dying star but some nebulae could also be regions in space where new stars are being formed.
We explored using the wet-on-wet watercolour technique to create our masterpieces; it was fascinating to watch the colours move on the paper as they merged to create a seamless blend between each other. We hope that everyone has a new year which is ‘out of this world!’
