Year 6 understood the 'point' of using pointillism!
Year 6 have been learning about the painting technique of pointillism in art. Pointillism is a method of painting which uses small dots of pure colour to create a picture. Inspired by George Seurat's style of pointillism, we recreated a scene from ET (linked to our literacy topic) to create paintings of a forest and the night sky. We learnt that this technique requires a lot of patience but we had a lot of fun painting our pictures and are very proud of how they have turned out.
